Coro Northern California: Exploring Leadership Community Action

High school students create positive change in their community -- designing, building, and executing a project that matters to them.

The Problem

Communities need more people who can work and lead across difference. However, we have never been more polarized than we are today. Technology allows us to remain in our own echo chambers. And the support and training for collaborative problem solving to tackle our toughest challenges is severely lacking.

The Solution

Coro equips people with the skills, knowledge, networks, and confidence to collaborate and accelerate positive change wherever they are. We empower youth to find their voice and pursue their passions. And we give youth the opportunity to experience their power by challenging them to deliver a community-based action project, effecting change on a real issue that matters to them.

The Exploring Leadership Program also offers hands-on leadership training, a summer internship, networking with local leaders, and connecting with diverse youth across the Bay Area. The opportunity transforms lives and our young participants leave with the confidence they need to become future leaders.
